Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: January 1st 2025

The Lexvolve, LLC. Certification Sponsorship Program (“the Program”) is an initiative to support and encourage interpreters to pursue national certification. By participating in or applying for this Program, all participants (hereinafter “the Participant” or “the Beneficiary”, depending on their status in the program) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully, as they outline the eligibility criteria, responsibilities, and limitations of this sponsorship.

 

1. Purpose of the Program

Lexvolve, LLC. will cover the cost of the written and/or oral exam associated with national medical interpreter certification for selected interpreters. Lexvolve, LLC. reserves the right to determine the number of Participants selected to become Beneficiaries. This initiative is both a promotional effort and a professional development opportunity for the interpreting community.

Eligible certifications for this sponsorship include:

  • CoreCHI™ from the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI)

  • Hub-CMI™ from the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI)

  • CMI™ from the NBCMI

No other certifications will be considered.

Lexvolve, LLC. will not cover the costs of certification for an interpreter that held a certification once but has expired and hasn’t been renewed in due time.

 

2. Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for sponsorship, applicants must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Have successfully completed a 40-hour interpreter training program offered by Lexvolve, LLC.

  • Demonstrated outstanding participation throughout the 40-hour course and 100% attendance during sessions.

  • Submit valid proof of English proficiency with an outstanding result, using the same exam they plan to submit to the certifying body.

Lexvolve, LLC. reserves the right to determine what qualifies as an “outstanding result” on a case-by-case basis.

  • Certification exam (written and/or oral) must be scheduled and taken within 180 calendar days of the official beneficiary announcement.

  • Applicants must not possess any previous certifications when applying for the program and must not acquire any other certifications before earning the certification for which this program is intended. If the Beneficiary earns a certification before completing the certification for which this program is intended, Lexvolve, LLC. reserves the right to withdraw the benefit.

  • Beneficiaries are requested to disclose if they have gained or hold a certificate while participating in this program. If a beneficiary doesn’t disclose this information to access the benefit, Lexvolve, LLC. reserves the right to determine what actions will be taken according to that particular case.

 

3. Scope and Limitations of Sponsorship

  • The sponsorship only covers the written and/or oral exam fees once per selected Beneficiary. Other costs including but not limited to transport, internet services, renewal fees, re-testing fees, re-scheduling fees, are not covered by this program nor will Lexvolve, LLC. be responsible for them.

  • If the Beneficiary fails the exam, misses the appointment, or needs to reschedule or retake the exam for any reason, Lexvolve, LLC. is not liable and will not cover additional fees.

  • If the Beneficiary fails to meet any certification or Lexvolve, LLC. requirements within the 180-day window, Lexvolve, LLC. reserves the right to revoke the sponsorship and award it to another eligible candidate.

 

4. Conditions of Participation

Beneficiaries must:

  • Complete a program application form and sign the necessary acknowledgements.

  • Fulfill all application requirements and deadlines outlined by the certifying body and Lexvolve, LLC..

  • Submit all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Agree to provide a written and video testimonial about their certification journey that Lexvolve, LLC. will use as promotional material, including but not limited to:

    • Their experience in the process

    • The impact of becoming certified on their professional life (including changes in job performance and compensation)

  • Consent to Lexvolve, LLC. using their name, image (photos and video), and testimonial for promotional purposes exclusively related to Lexvolve, LLC. programs.

 

5. Non-Transferability and One-Time Benefit

  • This sponsorship is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or credit.

  • It is a one-time benefit per person. Previous recipients are not eligible to apply again, regardless of whether they obtained the certification or not. Participants who were not granted the benefit might apply again.

 

6. No Guarantee of Certification

Lexvolve, LLC. does not guarantee that any participant will pass the certification exams or achieve certified status. This outcome depends entirely on the Beneficiary’s performance during the assessments and the policies of the certifying body.

 

7. No Employment Relationship

Participation in this Program does not create any employment, contractor, or partnership relationship with Lexvolve, LLC. The sole relationship is that of sponsorship from Lexvolve, LLC. to the Beneficiary for certification purposes.

 

8. Selection and Verification

  • The selection of beneficiaries is conducted at Lexvolve, LLC’s sole discretion and is final.

  • Lexvolve, LLC. reserves the right to choose the methodology draw, competition, grades, etc. in which the Applicants will be granted the benefit and become Beneficiaries.

  • Lexvolve, LLC. may request additional documentation to verify eligibility.

  • Failure to comply with documentation requests may result in disqualification.

 

9. Right to Revoke Sponsorship

Lexvolve, LLC. reserves the right to revoke sponsorship in cases including but not limited to:

  • The interpreter is already certified in the credential applied for.

  • The interpreter engages in unethical, unprofessional, or dishonest behavior.

  • The certifying body does not offer certification in the interpreter’s language pair.

  • The interpreter fails to meet any of the terms and conditions outlined herein.

 

10. Modification or Termination of Program

Lexvolve, LLC. reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel this Program at any time, without prior notice, for any reason it deems relevant.

 

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Lexvolve, LLC. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to participation in this Program. This includes (but is not limited to) loss of income, certification denial, exam failure, or administrative errors by third parties.

  • Lexvolve, LLC. shall not be liable and will not accept any lawsuits or legal actions arising from participation, non-selection, disqualification, or revocation of this sponsorship.

 

12. Force Majeure

Lexvolve, LLC. shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations under this Program if such failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, changes in certifying body policies, political events, or public health emergencies.

 

By applying for or accepting the sponsorship, Participants and Beneficiaries acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms and conditions outlined above.
